It was a pretty good weekend. I went to a Pampered Chef party on Saturday, and generally blew the diet on lots of really tasty stuff, and I got to talk with Elizabeth and Kris for a while, which was nice. And I made chili for dinner, which was nice because it meant I've got a lot of leftover chili in the fridge, already divided up into containers so I can have it for lunch sometime. Sunday was a nice lazy day. We took Penny over to my parents' house to be fed cookies and candy while Matt and I ran a couple of errands, to Sam's Club for various household supplies, and then to Best Buy to spend a gift certificate we got for Christmas. So that's it. Nice calm weekend. Nothing to report, nothing to complain about. Matt and Penny both have today off; I do not. When I left this morning, I gave Matt a hug and a kiss, then squatted by Penny. "Mommy has to go to work now. Can Mommy have a hug and a kiss?" She doesn't always consent to do this, but today she gave me a hug, and then a kiss. And then she said, "Penny lubboo." Awww. *snif* "I love you, too, honey." And then she stayed by the window, watching me and waving, until I'd started to pull the car out of the driveway. That kept me warm on the drive to work, let me tell you. I'm hoping for a relatively calm, slow week. I've got meetings almost every day, but except for Tuesday, only one meeting a day, so that's not too bad. The work calendar otherwise looks relatively clear and calm, with only a handful of documents going out, and two of them already reviewed last week. Our evenings are likewise empty this week -- Matt has a basketball game on Wednesday, but that's it. The weekend will be full of fun, though. Saturday will be my Creative Memories show, and then Jeremy and Elizabeth are hosting this year's Missmas party. And Sunday is when we're having Dad's birthday party. And for once, I've already got a card and a present for him! So, a nice calm week, followed by a fun weekend. Assuming all goes according to plan, anyway. Hehehehe.... Yeah, right. |
