23 March 2006

I will be so glad when Daylight Savings hits in another week or so. Penny's room has an east-facing window, so she's been waking up with the sun (and the very loud birds) at about ten minutes to six.

At least, once we're doing Daylight Savings, that'll be more like quarter to seven, and I'll have gone to bed an hour earlier.

Though I guess it won't do anything about her waking up in the middle of the night.

At least she was in a good mood when we got up this morning. She played happily while I got dressed, then helped me dress her instead of fighting it.

Everything is SO much easier when everyone is feeling good.

My morning's pretty well shot -- I have meetings at 10 and 11, which means if I want to get with Dad and walk, we'll have to leave by 9, which is barely enough time left for me to finish this journal entry and have breakfast.

But there's almost nothing on the schedule for this afternoon. I have some dim hope of being able to do some writing.

Of course, if I don't wake up a little between now and then, I'm going to end up writing "I am a fish," four hundred times and then do a funny little dance before I pass out.

(Extra credit if you got that reference without resorting to google.)
