I'm tired again. But at least Penny slept all night last night. And Matt will be coming home in one week. I can't wait. This weekend should be okay, though. I promised my Mom that I'd come over on Saturday and help her figure out how to move her pictures from the camera to the computer. With Dad to watch Penny, of course. And Sunday we're supposed to have dinner with the family at John and Sam's new house -- I'm looking forward to seeing it! And Penny adores John and Sam, so that should keep her happy. Though I need to call Sam and find out what time she wants us, and what I should bring. When I went into Penny's room to get her this morning, she told me, "Daddy on airplane. Up inna sky!" "That's right." "Inna clouds! Airplane Daddy up inna clouds!" "Yep, Daddy's airplane went up into the clouds." She paused, considering it, then said, "Want Daddy." "I know, sweetie. I want Daddy to come home, too. But he's on a trip." "Inna clouds." "...Sort of." She eyed me, then rolled over to face the wall. "Daddy inna wall?" "No, silly, Daddy isn't in the wall." She ignored me and knocked on the wall. "HELLO! HI, DADDY! DADDY!? YOU IN THERE? HI!" The ways of Daddy are mysterious, indeed. |
