28 March 2006

Right, so, as expected, I got just about nothing done yesterday, between the two meetings. But at least the afternoon meeting was moderately useful to the guy who asked for it; if nothing else, the customer got to see proof that we're taking a certain problem seriously.

So I need to do a bit of catch-up today, as well as write up the meeting minutes from yesterday. And my chiropractor appointment is this morning, and I'll walk with Dad sometime in the afternoon probably.

So today will be pretty busy, but I'm hoping it will be a productive busy rather than a scurry-around-and-accomplish-nothing busy.

But all I really want is to sleep. I didn't get to sleep until after 11 last night, and then my travel alarm clock -- which I'd knocked behind my bedside table just as I was going to bed, and thought I'd fetch later -- started beeping at me at 1am (apparently being knocked off the table had flipped the alarm switch on), so I had to dig it out and turn it off. I also re-set the alarm for 9am, just in case it gets accidentally turned on again.

I woke up at 3 for no reason whatsoever. My guess is that Penny made a sound in her sleep and I reacted to it, but she was quiet by the time I was sitting up and listening.

And then she woke up at 5:30. I didn't get out of bed -- she wasn't upset, just talking to her toys -- but I couldn't go back to sleep.

So I'm a little tired. Not as bad as it could be, but I'm not really crackling with energy or anything.

Penny's school pictures came in yesterday. They're... not my favorite picture of her. Not bad, just... not great. I'd almost rather just go online and order a bunch of copies of this picture. Or this one. And there's a "class" picture, too, which... eh.

We'll probably get them anyway, just for... I dunno. Completeness' sake or something. But I'm putting off an official decision until Matt's home and he can see them.

(Friday! Matt will be home FRIDAY!!! I can't wait!)
