So. Apparently, even when you take your child to the doctor and the doctor says the child's case of pinkeye is very mild and that she should be perfectly clear to go to school the next day...

...the school's rule about kids staying home for 24 hours after starting pinkeye medication remains in effect.

I took Penny to school this morning and explained that the doctor said she was fine to come to school today, and they said, "Did you get a note?"

And honestly, I hadn't even thought about it. After sitting in the doctor's waiting room for a solid hour, with Penny getting more and more impatient and frustrated and grouchy, all I wanted was to get out of there.

No note, no school.

So Penny and I are at home today.

Which is maybe a little blessing in disguise. Because she's perfectly fine, really, and it's a perfectly gorgeous day. We'll have some fun.

And Matt's on his way home, as I type this! Whoo!
