Let's see, news for today...

...There really isn't any.

Penny was mostly pretty good last night. She even ate most of the three chicken nuggets that I gave her for dinner, all the broccoli and cauliflower (though she picked out the carrots -- I guess they're "out" this week) and most of a banana. We rewarded her with a small handful of M&Ms.

She was good this morning, too, except that lately she'd rather sit on our bed and play catch with my little stuffie sheep than go downstairs and have her milk and get ready for school. Can't say I blame her much, but, alas, we are stuck in the Responsible Adult roles. I finally lured her downstairs by promising that she could bring the sheep with her.

Work is going to be slow this week; there's only about four things on the whole week's list that have due-dates on them, and when things are this slow, I am not inspired to work on the things that don't have due-dates (or which have due-dates that are more than a month distant).

Maybe I'll write. I didn't get a chance, last Friday, because I got pulled into a meeting.

My Pampered Chef consultant called yesterday to see how things were coming, and I told her that I'd apparently picked the Worst Weekend Ever for throwing a party -- I've got two people who definitely intend to come, two more who want to but still need to check their calendars, and everyone else is either definitely not coming, or hasn't responded, which I'm taking to mean they're not coming.

She (the consultant, that is) suggested possibly just throwing a regular party (which I was going to do anyway) and turning the PC show into a catalog party. Which means I lose the $15 extra you get for hosting a cooking party, but honestly, I'm not sure the hassle of a PC cooking party is actually worth the extra $15 in products.

So that's what we'll do -- we'll just prep for a cookout, and I'll just have a couple of catalogs handy if people want to order stuff. Much easier. I should have thought of it before.
