23 May 2006

Matt and Penny got home yesterday evening, and Penny literally ran across the living room to me with her arms spread wide, calling "Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!" and flung herself into my arms for a hug.

That was nice.

I'm a little tired today. I've been having this succession of dreams, for the last week now, where I'm doing things that ought to be really horrifying and awful, but it's not actually that bad. Like being a member of Satan's secret service.

I can't classify them as nightmares, or even bad dreams. They're slightly disturbing, but they're not intrinsically bad. Just kind of tedious, really. But they're not restful, either. I wish I could figure out what they meant so they'd go away. My current guesses are that either I need to look for a new job, or I need to stop whining and procrastinating and actually do my job.

So I've got a short list of Actual Work things I really need to do today, or at least spend some time working on. Of course, if I don't wake up some, it's going to take all day to do these three things.

I think it might be time for some coffee.
