Let's see, what to say about yesterday... I finally got the project done that I've been working on for work. So now I've got about two weeks to update this other project before my buddy the internal auditor comes down for his annual visit. I scrapbooked after work, and got five pages done, which is quite a lot for me. I'm getting faster! Maybe I will manage to complete the summer "challenge" of 50 pages. Matt and I watched the animated Star Wars: Clone Wars last night. It was... different. No worse than the second movie for believability, at least. And the voice actors did an amazing job; I had to look it up on IMDB to reassure myself that Ewan McGregor and Samuel Jackson weren't actually voicing Obi-Wan and Mace Windu. Bits of it were far too funny. I think my favorites were the stomper and Padawan Shaggy. (That's not the name he has in the credits, but by the time I saw the credits, it was too late. I'd already named him.) So, uh, yeah. That's yesterday. Of course, this morning I had an idea for filling up some excess white space on two of the pages I did, and actually doing it would only take three minutes, so I sat down and did it while Matt was shaving and Penny was playing on the bed. Of course, it ate my brain so I forgot to put on my earrings and necklace. But it's Friday, so hopefully no one will really notice that I'm a bit slovenly. Today, I have about an hour's worth of actual work to do (not counting the long-term thing) and then... I dunno. My boss is unexpectedly back in town, so I guess I won't be loafing around online. Email, hopefully? And I need to figure out a Father's Day present for my actual, y'know. Father. Maybe I'll try to write, but my brain is still a little mushy from being sick (or more precisely, I'm still just a little bit sick) and I'm up to the hardest section of the hardest chapter. This weekend, we have no real plans. A trip to the library, I think, and Matt was talking about blowing up Penny's pool for the summer. Maybe we'll attempt to get together with friends or something. It's an adventure. |
