I'm feeling pretty good today.

It's a nice day outside.

I don't have too much work to do -- but I've got enough to keep me from getting bored.

My iPod is rocking along and picking good songs for me.

I'm planning to go out to lunch with "the girls" from work. It's our reward to ourselves for the delivery from hell on Wednesday. We're going to eat Mexican and have margaritas.

Also, between a surprise meeting late Monday and the delivery stuff, I have a little extra time on the clock, so depending on how long lunch lasts, I might be able to sneak out a bit early.

I've got what I think is a fun theme for Matt for Father's Day, and I'm looking forward to seeing it come to fruition.

I got to stamp around at work yesterday and rant at people and threaten them with my baseball bat (relax, it's inflatable) while knowing that they were actually very grateful that I'd caught the error I'd caught, because boy would it have been embarrassing if it had gone out the door. And yet three people signed the document before me.

I got three more scrapbook pages done last night, which is a bit slower than I'd hoped for, but I'm getting close to finishing this album.

Did I mention we're going out for lunch today to drink margaritas? It's probably worth repeating.

Matt went to what he'd been told was a "Spring Presentation" at Penny's daycare yesterday, only to discover that it was essentially a graduation ceremony for the pre-K class.

But Penny's class performed, and Matt took pictures and movies. Penny actually spotted Matt almost immediately, while they were still herding the kids into some semblance of a line.

They sang the ABC song, then counted from 1 to 10 for a blastoff!, then sang the bumblebee song ("I've got a baby bumblebee / won't my mommy be so proud of me?"), and then "The Wheels on the Bus." Penny did better than most of her classmates at actually singing along with the songs and doing all the hand motions and stuff. A stark contrast to the Winter Show, where she just looked confused and kept pulling the reindeer antlers off her head.

The doors on the bus go / open and shut / open and shut / open and shut / The doors on the bus go / open and shut / all through the town!

Matt took movies, which I'll link soon to the photo album for certain eager grandparents to download. The only downside is that Matt's camera automatically stops recording at like 10 seconds or something, so they're mostly incomplete. But still pretty cute.

The pre-K class themselves were marched out in tiny caps and gowns (blue for the boys, pink for the girls) and each held up a large picture of themselves as little babies. Matt tells me that some of the parents became emotional, which sort of backfired and led to the kids crying, too.

But it sounds like it was very cute, so yay!.
