Yesterday was busybusy.

There was the Monday morning managers' meeting. Then Alexis and I took a walk. And then I helped set up for Becky's office baby shower, and then there was the shower itself.

That was nice. The assorted cooks in our office made enough food to feed forty or fifty people, and Becky was not really surprised, but she enjoyed the event. And there were the cute toys! And the adorable clothes! And the widdle biddy socks!!! And there's another shower for her this weekend. I told Matt that if he wants to have another child, this is probably a good time to plant the idea in my head.

After Becky's shower, my afternoon was dotted with meetings. Then I had Jazzercise, which actually felt pretty good. And then I finally got to go home and eat dinner and play with Penny and relax.

I'm hoping today will be a little slower. I've got a peck of work to do, and I need some time to just sit down and do it.

Things To Do - Work: There's a stack of documents due out this week, though I don't expect more than two of them to hit my desk today. I've also got two long-term projects sitting silently on my desk waiting for me to come back to them. I don't really want to do either of them, because they smack of busywork, but I really ought to.

That's not including the routine stuff, like the administrative crap, or the meetings, or the forms to fill out and sign.

Things To Do - Personal: I've got three scrapbook albums that I'm either working on or planning (annual family album, high school album, summer bash pages). Wait, make that four - Cancun pages for my mom. I'm making notes for a game. I need to get out our new hedge trimmer and, well, trim. Preferably before the bushes eat the house. I should go buy a present for Becky's other shower. There's Penny's birthday parties to plan (family and friends separately, because the family won't be around on her birthday itself) and I suppose we should look into getting her a present or two. And my vacation to prepare for, also.

And there's more than enough routine stuff here, too. Daily walk, twice-weekly Jazzercise, chiropractor every two weeks. Making dinner, doing dishes, making lunches, giving Penny a bath...

It's kind of astonishing that I have time to sleep.

We had another successful use of the potty last night. Whoo! It was not without its moment of humor, however.
