Happy Hallowe'en!

Penny's class at daycare is having a Hallowe'en party today, and they said kids should wear "fall colors" or their costumes. Well, Penny doesn't have any clothes in fall colors, and I didn't want her messing up her new costume before we even got to go trick-or-treating in it, so she's in one of her play dresses instead.

Matt will pick Penny up from school a bit early today and take her back to his office -- they're distributing flu shots for employees and family who signed up. Matt and I are willing to risk catching it, but since a sick child guarantees an entire household of sick people, we signed her up.

I'm sure the shot will make her unhappy, but I'm equally sure that there will be treats aplenty at the office to cheer her up with.

And after they've come home and we've put something resembling nutritious food into Penny, we'll put her in her Cinderella dress and I'll take her trick-or-treating. She's already very excited about that, and I'm looking forward to it.

There's a good chance there will be pictures tomorrow.

Last Year:
I'm not so sure she gets trick-or-treating, just yet, but any holiday where people give her lots of candy is A-Okay with her!
5 Years Ago:
So overall, I'm pleased with how everything turned out, and I think the party will be a success.
