Best Penny story of the weekend:

"Mommy, I want some cake."

"Finish your yogurt, and then you can have cake."

..."Mommy, I'm all done."

"You ate all your yogurt?"

"Yes."

"No, you didn't. Look, it's still half full! Penny, you have to tell Mommy the truth. Do you understand me? I need you to tell me the truth."

"I want some cake, an' that's the truth!"

Mommy-glurge moment of the weekend:

I read Penny her story last night before bed and as she climbed down to go to Matt, she flung herself into my arms and said, "Thank you Mommy for reading Green Eggs an' Ham to me."

I don't know what that was all about, but it was beyond adorable.

This week promises much craziness at work. At least, the first half of the week does. We've got something like eleven documents due out on Wednesday. I haven't seen even one of them yet, which means that even if they get evenly spaced out between now and then (hahaha!) I'll be seeing four a day for the next three days.

Or, more likely, I'll get two today, two tomorrow, and seven on Wednesday.

Gonna be one of those weeks. With working late and everything, I'm guessing.

My sister-in-law has "hired" me to help her put a scrapbook album together as a gift project. She acknowledges that there's no way to have it finished by the end of the month, but obviously I'd like to have it as complete as possible.

So I'm placing the order for the materials today, and once they arrive, I may be a bit scarce in the evenings while I work on it.
