17 November 2006

I sat down to scrapbook last night, pulled out all my stuff, and realized that I only had two blank pages to work with.

Sigh. I had plenty more at home, of course.

Oh, well, it was nice to work on those two pages, and to chat with Alexis and Elizabeth.

It'll be an interesting weekend.

Saturday we'll probably visit with my folks for a bit. I need to drop a bag of stuff off with them to take to Texas -- they driving instead of flying, so I can pack most of my clothes and toilettries and tuck it into the back of their car, and that way my stuff gets there with no more effort on their part than they were already putting out, and I can fly carryon-only on Tuesday.

So as long as I'm there, we'll probably stop and visit for a while -- let them get in some grandchild-time before they spend two weeks on the road. And let Penny get in some kitten-time.

Sunday, we're going to try to go to the movies.

I say try because the idea is to bring the child-creatures to the movies as well. We're going to see Happy Feet. It looks like an adorable movie, and I think Penny would like it, but I'm still a little dubious about 1) her ability to sit still for the entirety of a new movie, and 2) her ability to withstand the rather obnoxious volume level that most movie theaters find necessary.

But I guess we'll just warn her that it will be loud, and that she can put her hands over her ears if it bothers her. And we're going to a morning matinee, which I'd think would not be the time of choice for people who are going to be cranky about squirmy children.

And a bribe of popcorn ought to take care of most of the rest, right?

I am... cautiously optimistic. But will not be surprised if I wind up spending some time in the lobby.

For other World of Warcraft players, only: I am a big ol' dork.
