1 December 2006

Matt and I got to sleep until 6:30 this morning, and then we got ourselves up. I had to wake Penny up, so she was kind of cranky all morning. Balancing the crank was a dry diaper, though. (I have a suspicion that if we'd let her wake up on her own, it would've been wet, but I'll take what I can get.)

Will she sleep again tomorrow morning, when Matt and I won't have to get up for work anyway? Your guess is as good as ours!

So it's December already.

Wow.

I introduced Penny to the advent calendar this morning. She was not really all that impressed. (c.f., woken up and grouchy.) Maybe when I go to Target for the rest of the Christmas decoration stuff I plan to get, I'll pick up a chocolate advent calendar for her, and that will be a little more exciting.

Though, do I really want her to start thinking she's entitled to a piece of chocolate every morning? Maybe not.

Ah, well, we'll see what kind of mood I'm in when I get to the store.

We have seven documents going out today; I've seen two. So today will be a little crazy. But hopefully not as crazy as yesterday.

I'm really hoping next week is slower. I need some time to do Christmas shopping, and work on albums.

But I'm thinking it'll be a good weekend. We don't have any run-around-crazy things to do, but we have some small plans that should be fun -- I'm going to stop in on a scrapbooking open house, and we've got a coupon for Matt's free birthday ice cream to use, and we need to try to take a family picture to use on our Christmas cards, and my brother's in-laws are visiting, so they're having us over for dinner.

Like that. Good stuff.

Hope you have a great weekend!
