11 April 2007
I didn't get to bed until 12:30 last night. And then the cat woke me up at 3:30. And then Penny woke me up at 5:45. My butt is D-R-A-G-G-I-N-G this morning. Which is unfortunate, because I have a lot to do. I have not one, but two (completely unrelated) spreadsheets with graphs to update. I need to call a tree removal service to come take care of our dead tree. I have a conference call to review a document that will run a good hour. I need to call the roof repair guy to come fix our leak. I have another document to review. I need to figure out what Matt and I are doing for our anniversary date this Saturday and make reservations. I have photos from Easter to weed through, crop, and post. I'm pretty sure that's not a complete list. On the other hand, I had a really nice compliment during our (Warcraft) game session last night. We were getting ready to jump into a combat, and one of the guys said, "[Liz] really spoils us. I forget to watch my health bar when I'm soloing." Which is to say, he trusts me so much as party healer that he gets out of the habit of even looking at his health bar, because he knows I'll keep him alive. Which, on the one hand, is my job. But it's nice to get confirmation that I'm doing it well. It's worth noting that this came from the player who jumped up and down at the beginning until the others clued in that yes, maybe protecting the healer was kind of important, and is frequently my advocate when we're discussing particularly choice loot. The man knows how to keep a healer happy. I was suprised to learn he's never played one before. But if his ploy is to stay near the top of my priority list, it's working. Now, if I could just get them to take a glance at my mana bar before rushing into combat, it would be perfect. |
