Good morning!

It actually is a pretty good morning for me. Which is weird, because I didn't sleep especially well last night. Penny woke up around 2:45, so I got up to check her blood sugar and then put her back to bed. And then Alex woke up at just a smidge past four. But, amazingly, he just talked a little bit and then went back to sleep on his own.

I kept having dreams that reminded me of Dave McKean art, or this haunting and yet beautiful film that I saw on Neil Gaiman's journal a few days ago. (For all I know, that's what seeded the dreams.)

But anyway, I'm feeling pretty good this morning. Alex was in a chipper mood for most of the morning, and Penny was being good, and... Really, just everything. It's Friday, which is currently my favorite day of the week. We're planning a trip to Sam's Club this weekend to pick up some things, which means we're likely to swing by my parents' for a while, as well.

And next week, I'm taking a training course that I've been wanting to take for a few years now. What is it with me getting training when I have an infant in the house, anyway? At least this time, I won't have to travel. It will play merry havoc with our schedules, though, since I'll have to be at work from 8:30 to 5 every day, which is a full hour shift from my usual schedule. Maybe I'll do dropoffs and Matt can do pickups.

I was also thinking I'd have to take the week off from this journal, because if the class is going to be starting at 8:30, then I'm really going to need to pump before it starts. But then something else turned up that I could do in advance and just take about five minutes to post each morning.

So next week you're getting a theme of entries instead of the usual slice-of-life stuff, starting with Watch It! on Monday.

Have a great week, and a great weekend!
